22ND JANUARY 2011
Haig Fras
The weather has once again given us some of the best sighting opportunities available so early in the year. This morning at ~09:30 hrs we had a fantastic bow-riding pod of approx. 14 Common Dolphin; they stayed with us for about an hour. A number of Whale blow sightings throughout the morning followed by a sighting of a Fin Whale. Sightings recorded by Jamie Coleman and Amber Newman during a Marinelife Opportunistic Survey on board RV Cefas Endeavour.
